During COVID-19 Cannes opened a new competition for all the creatives in the world.
They challenged us to help people waste less in an easy, habit-changing way. It's a big challenge because in our households we're wasting between 15% and 25% of the food that we're buying.
We found out that refrigerators have actually grown 15% since the 1970s. Leading to record levels of food waste because the more space we have, the more food we want to buy.
That's why we created "NO SPACE FOR WASTE." A movement that starts in every fridge by taking 25% of the space with other things besides food. That encourage people to fill their fridges with anything: books, art, clothes, toys, skincare products, etc. Challenge their friends to do the same using #NoSpaceForWaste in their social media.
UNWFP can change the world because if there is No Space For Waste, there is no space for hunger.
